In 1998, I had a pivotal moment in my life. My Dad, seeing that I was a bit directionless at the time, took me to a Tony Robbins 'Unleash the Power Within' seminar. It was my first foray into the world of personal development and I had no idea what was in store for me. There, standing in front of me, was a bed of fire, the heat pouring off it, and I was about to walk across it. I should have been nervous. But I wasn't. Tony had taken us through a bunch of exercises to get us into a peak emotional and physical state, which we had then anchored into our bodies. I triggered this anchor, and then took off across the burning coals. It was a surreal experience, and I got to the other side unscathed and having achieved something that my mind did not think was possible. And it set me on the path of personal development and realising potential ever since. For over 25 years, I have dived deep into this world and have invested heavily into my own growth through countless courses, seminars and coaching. And I continue to do so as I believe it is one of the best investment one can make and helps me get even better so I can serve the people I work with even more effectively. Amongst many others since, this was a life-changing moment for me in my journey. What's been one of your's on your personal development journey? #wellbeingdaily #personaldevelopment #burnoutcoach #coaching #firewalk #tonyrobbins

WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.Recently, after a night of celebration, that for many might have been seen as NORMAL or WELL EARNED.I spent a week after it, self loathing, anxious and thinking some pretty dark thoughts. My save and grace is now having the capacity to bounce back from it, re-set and realise what makes me happy and content. * Exercise* Failing and Rebounding* Human Connection with like minded individuals* Nature* Clarity of vision/direction* Time at home with my family and friendsI took the opportunity of reflection and decided to set myself a set of, what I think, are reasonable goals for this year, from a physical perspective anyway and based on where I am at the moment.* 1000lb club (To total 1000lb + of weight lifted in Squat/Bench/deadlift)* Hang clean 100kg with Reasonable techniqueFor the technique tyrants, I know at the moment it doesn’t look pretty. I’ve hit a 90kg hang clean, It’s a bit messy. I failed more times than racked it. However I will persist. Part of my messaging when I’m coaching is to take the same principles we use in the gym or on the pitch and apply them to other facets of life. As cliche as it sounds. FAILING MAKES YOU STRONGER. I like many was AFRAID TO FAIL. Shaping many of my behaviours as an avoidance strategy. One of my philosophies now is definitely to lead by example and that wasn’t always the case, my behaviours didn’t reflect my intentions. GROWTH IS A JOURNEY NOT A DESTINATION.WHAT STRATEGIES DO YOU USE WHEN YOU SUFFER SET-BACKS?HOW DO YOU INCORPORATE THAT IN YOUR COACHING?#growth #selfawareness #mindset #ownership #accountability #journey

Monday Reflection: What is your Zone of Genius? It's that sweet spot where your talents and passions align. It's about more than just being good at something, it's about loving what you do.This distinction is crucial. Without passion, you might find yourself in the Zone of Danger, where you have skills but no joy. While this can be profitable, it can lead to a lack of fulfillment, trapping you in dissatisfaction. Many of the clients I meet are entrenched in their Zone of Danger. My coaching with them centers on how they might stay in their Zone of Genius, and keep out of their Zone of Danger.(I want to acknowledge that it is a privilege to be able to choose the work that aligns with our passions; many do not have this luxury.)For me, coaching isn't just a job; it's my Zone of Genius. I thrive during sessions with my clients, my bedside table is stacked with coaching books, and I often find myself pondering coaching strategies over the weekend. The last time I facilitated a group session, I was completely in my element, experiencing that perfect state of flow. What is your Zone of Genius? Let me know in the comments below!#personalgrowth #leadershipcoaching #mondaymotivation

𝗕𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗩𝗦. 𝗕𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧…Be present, not perfect is one of the ways in which Dr. Marcia Reynolds embodies a coaching mindset. From early on in our training we learn about the importance of being present as coaches, to keep aside all our biases and judgments and be fully engaged and wholeheartedly there for our client. Now I must say it’s a hard quality to master, and many of us fall in the trap of trying to be perfect and not present. Similarly, we tend to do the same in our lives. What does this mean then?👉We ruminate on what is to come vs. enjoying the present moment and what it is bringing us.👉We focus on what is not going well and how to fix it vs. making the most of what actually is working well.👉We tend to idealize success and achievement vs. enjoying the learning process and taking advantage of opportunities as they arise.👉We fear failure and hesitate to come out of our comfort zones vs. adopting a growth mindset and learning from setbacks.👉We experience a constant feeling of dissatisfaction as things never turn out the way we want vs. practicing gratitude and feeling greater appreciation for life as it unfolds.Perfection is a myth, presence is a mindset. Which one do you choose?#perfection #beingpresent #enjoythemoment #authenticliving #selfdevelopmentjourney Are you constantly thriving for perfection and never satisfied? DM or book a discovery call. I can help you.

What’s holding you back? All too often we are kept from our hopes and dreams because we get stuck in outdated patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that no longer serve us. This comes from our years of conditioning from the families and cultures we grew up in and the societies we live in, to be, act and feel a certain way. It is completely normal and how we all develop beliefs about ourselves and the world around us.As highly sensitive people we often receive messages that our sensitivity is not valued or encouraged; from our families who don’t know how to deal with our intense emotions, to the teachers who tell us we should be more outspoken, to our managers that question our confidence.Believing that who we are is not acceptable to those around us means we learn to hide our true selves and try to fit in by masking our sensitivities and trying to be perfect or please others. Often we just end up overwhelmed and exhausted. What if you could overcome overwhelm and embrace your sensitivities to become who you truly are instead? In my 2 x 90 minute coaching programme: Unlock your Sensitive Superpowers, discover the old stories that are keeping you stuck and tap into the strengths and wisdom you have within so that you can unleash your superpowers into a world that is in dire need of more peace, harmony and creativity.🌞 Overcome overwhelm🌸Own your sensitivity🌟 Get back your true sparkCheck out the link in the comments below.#personaldevelopment #coaching #highlysensitiveperson #hsp

One of the reasons people decide against coaching is that they think they don't have the time. I really get it because I have been there. Mental load is not something we make up. Especially if you have a demanding job. Or someone to look after. Or money is scarce. Or all of it, or any other challenging circumstances that life throws at us.However, most of us don't want to live like this. We want to spend our time on the things that matter to us. We want our autonomy back. So, how do we get from "I don't have time for this" to mastering our time and, hence, our energy?Let me share 4 ideas that have been real game changers for me:1. ⏱ Uncover your time thieves: We spend a lot of time with things that we believe help us recover when actually they're just numbing, like our gadgets, drinking alcohol, binge watching etc. ⭐ What are your time thieves?2. 🏃🏾♀️ Distinguish between important and urgent. This is an old one, but it really helps asking ourselves if we truly spend our time with things that matter to us or if we are just reacting to external events like fire fighters. ⭐What conscious decision can you make that helps you focus more on important things?3. 🧘🏻♀️ Don't waiste your time on things that are beyond your control.⭐What is within your scope of action? Focus on that. What is not within your scope of action? Let it go.4. 🙅🏽♀️ Don't let others waiste your time. Practice saying "no" to people who drain your energy by not showing up on time, not sticking to agreements, or keeping you in conversations you don't want to have. ⭐In which occasion do you want to set a boundary by saying "no"?💡 What's your favourite move for being a master of time management? Share in the comments, if you like.PS: The illustration is by Michael Ende, author of "Momo", a fantastic novel for children and adults about time thieves, published in 1978 and more timely than ever. Strong recommendation.#timethieves #timemanagemnt #masteryourtime #leadershipcoaching #coachingforchangemakers

30 Second Tips #24: How to tell if you have a fixed mindset in an area. One of my favourite performance books is Mindset by Carol Dweck. She explains the difference between having a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. 💪Fixed mindset - avoid challenge, give up easily in the face of obstacles, see effort as fruitless as either talented or not, ignore helpful feedback and threatened/envious of the success of others. 😒Growth mindset - embrace challenge, persist despite obstacles, see effort as the path to mastery, learn from criticism and inspired by the success of others! 🤩Her field is education, but she applies the concept to many areas of performance, such as business, sport, creative pursuits, relationships - indeed it can help in any arena where you can improve. 🏆Check if you’re using absolutes in any area of your life and instead see if you can harness the power of the word YET! BUILD YOUR INCREDIBLE 😎Carol Dweck #Performancepsychology #melbournebusiness #performancecoach #highperformance #personaldevelopment #melbournesmallbusiness #melbourne #performance #melbourneevents

Friday afternoon musings... What does being congruent mean to you?To me, being congruent means that my values are clear and aligned with each other, and I show consistency and integrity in my actions and behaviours. When I consistently apply congruent values, others can have a clear picture of who I am. If what I think, say, and do are in alignment, then (hopefully!) I will be living the most authentic version of myself. It's harder than it sounds though and gosh, sometimes those values can be tested!I believe that the journey to a high level of congruence has to start with a deep acceptance of ourselves. However, this can be affected by limiting self-beliefs. A simple check-in formula that I use is Values + Beliefs + Actions = Balance. What I do know, is that being incongruent always comes at a cost. What are your thoughts on this, and how do you stay aligned? We are covering similar topics and a whole lot more within the Belbin Accredited Team Coaches nine-month programme (AC accredited). Cohort 2 starts in June - drop me a line for further info. Happy Friday all :)#congruence #selfawareness #authenticity #coaching #life #values #integrity

"It's my fault"Is this something you're comfortable saying? It's easy to point the blame elsewhere. You'd be right to do so (in many cases),but that thinking is simply FLAWED.Taking accountability requires several things...--- Humility--- Courage--- Curiosity--- Resilience--- VulnerabilitySo things such as your...--- Pipeline--- Revenue--- Learning--- Intentions--- Net Worth... all are the consequences of YOUR actions.Remember that your... --- Your Environment--- Dictates your Beliefs--- Creates your Energy--- Becomes your Habits... eventually it is simply your IDENTITYFor me it's as simple as three BUCKETS--- Priming and Tuning (Energy, Mindset, Passion)--- Chop Wood and Carry Water ( Daily Habits and Tasks)--- Sit & Celebrate ( Rest, Recovery, Experiences and Memories)It's simple, but NOT easy! You will find whatever it is you're seeking. So what do you choose? I don’t like to get woo woo…it’s not my style but I 100% believe in the power of self belief – Henry Ford’s famous quote “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you’re right” is a perfect summary for this phenomenon.…and it is a phenomenon. Our self-belief and self worth are integrated thoughts that create the quality of our mindset. As a business coach, I've witnessed the transformative power of self-belief with my clients and with myself. We see it time and time again, when we want something, it doesn’t magically appear, it takes planning, belief, consistency, process, and unflappable confidence. Then the magic happens, and often it comes from left of field. The new client appears from the woodwork, the new staff member appears from nowhere, the opportunity pops up unexpected. I love marvelling in how this always plays out. You are the change. Your journey is a reflection of the energy you put out into the world. Remember to trust in your skills, ask for help, embrace challenges, and watch how the universe responds in kind and let it be the co-creator in our amazing journeys. … if you need help building confidence, get in touch: https://lnkd.in/gAVGFM3PI’m here to help. #believeInyourself #mindsetmatters #worthyofsuccess #businesscoaching #manifestyourdreams #positivevibesonly #selfbelief #confidence
